Iontophoresis

Physical Therapy Corner
Melanie Hart, PT
Physical therapy at Advanced Pain Management Surgery includes
traditional therapy techniques such as ultrasound,
electrical stimulation, heat, cold, soft tissue massage
cervical and lumbar traction, iontophoresis, and
individualized exercise programs.  We also offer
aquatic programs at Columbus Regional Hospital
and through the Wellness Program.  In addition to
traditional therapy, our therapists have extensive training in advanced
physical techniques including myofascial release, joint mobilization,
McKenzie, trigger point release, and cranial-sacral therapy.  We also are
specialists in the treatment of migraine, cluster, and tension headaches,
sacroiliac dysfunction, RSD (complex regional pain syndrome),
fibromyalgia, neck and back pain, and other various chronic pain
conditions with over 20 years experience in these areas.  Treatments
include holistic education in stress control, smoking cessation, weight loss,
lifestyle changes, ergonomic assessments, and relaxation techniques.  Our
primary therapist has taught physical therapy classes at the college level
and therapy at Columbus Regional Hospital.  Viewing our patients as
active participants in their care who work with the therapists to achieve
their goals has produced positive outcomes that often are not possible with
traditional physical therapy.
